A new 2013 club has been established at Sir Winston Churchill called the Rare Genomics Club. It centers on studying and discussing a variety of rare genetic diseases, and how they affect individuals. In collaboration with Calgary’s Rare Genomic Institute (RGI), founders prepare presentations where members discuss new cases of rare genetic diseases. This new club’s main objective is to raise public awareness of these diseases which affects 1 in 12 Canadians. So come check it out every second Tuesday @ lunch in Rm. 239!
