Imagine this… You arrive in August at a beautiful Rocky Mountain lodge along with students from around Alberta, across Canada, and around the world. For the next five days the fate of the world will be in your hands as your group faces a mock global crisis. Take your seat at a UN Security Council meeting. Meet with officials from the UN and Canadian Defence Department who share real-life experiences from the diplomatic world. And when the pressure of saving the world gets too great, take regular breaks to hike and canoe amid the towering pines and crystal-clear waters of the Goldeye Centre.
For more than 60 years, SUNIA (The Seminar on the United Nations and International Affairs) has been offering an internationally-oriented summer camp designed specifically for high school students aged 15-19. This is a great chance to learn about the world around you, through an interactive program while enjoying the spectacular mountain scenery and making new friends.
SUNIA is held this summer in Nordegg, Alberta from August 11-16 or 18-23.To learn more about SUNIA and how you can participate in this incredible event, check our website at http://www.sunia.ca/
